The College of Engineering is excited to announce the inaugural Purdue Engineering 38 by 38 award to recognize 38 young alumni who have rocketed through the ranks and left their mark by the time they are 38 years old.

Why 38?

The Purdue Engineering 38 by 38 award is inspired by the legacy of alumnus Neil Armstrong, who was 38 years old when he became the first person to set foot on the moon.

Since our founding in 1874, the College of Engineering has produced alumni whose achievements have shaped our world. This award celebrates the remarkable achievements of 38 Purdue Engineering alumni who are 38 years old or younger who have demonstrated an accelerated trajectory of professional success and whose achievements have made a significantly high impact relative to their work. They are trailblazers in their respective domains, driving positive impact with every giant leap they take.

2024 stands out as an exceptional year as we kick off the College of Engineering's sesquicentennial by honoring the inaugural class in October 2024. This milestone year both celebrates our history and marks the introduction of this new award dedicated to recognizing 38 young leaders who have excelled since completing their Purdue Engineering degree.
